We’ve our own singing competitions, and even though no one ever will get 50 grand with regard to winning them, I think that they’re a lot much more enjoyable anyway. Occasionally, following a number of rounds of drinks, we’ll choose a song and compete, performing different renditions of it.
Whoever can kitchen sink it within the loudest, grittiest, most raucous and audacious intonation automatically wins, and everyone has to buy her or him a drink. By the next round of that contest, the winner from the previous one has a definite benefit, and usually whomever wins the very first one wins all night, or until he passes out.
Simply because we’re classically trained vocalists, our performing competitions aren’t usually fairly so ridiculous. I wish to have a nice voice and be able to sing the I Wouldnt Mind lyrics clearly!
