Born on October 26, 1974 in a family of filmmakers, Raveena Tandon is one of the well-known actresses in the Indian industry. Her acting debut was in the 1991 film Patthar Ke Phool, for which she won the Filmfare Lux New Face Award. In the 1990s, she appeared in several other films, including Mohra in 1994, Khiladiyon Ka Zhiladi in 1996, and Ziddi in 1997. However, she was not recognized as an actress for such films. When she started taking more serious roles in 2000s, her image then changed and in 2002, she received the National Best Actress Award for the movie, Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence. This became the turning point in her acting career and from then on, she starred in films like Satta in 2003 and Dobara in 2004. Other awards she received were the Filmfare Special Performance Award, the Bollywood Best Supporting Actress, and the Star Screen Best Supporting Actress Award—all credited to the movie, Aks. The last release among Raveena Tandon videos, however, is Sandwich in 2006, which was not so much of a success. Since then, Raveena stopped acting in films.
