Famous for his role in Mr. India as Calendar, Satish Kaushik is not an ordinary actor. Also a producer, director and dialogue writer, he is currently a member of the board of Asian Academy of Film and Television. With sheer determination and hard work, he began as an assistant director and actor at the same time in Masoom (1983), a film by Shekhar Kapoor. He debuted as a director with the movie Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja in 1993 which was followed by Perm in 1995. Even though both films did not do well, he was persistent with his dream. In 1999, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain gained praises and was a box-office hit. As an actor, he was graced with the Filmfare Best Comedian Award twice.
